"LA RIVIÈRE" in LOUIGNAC, near AYEN and OBJAT, Department of Corrèze - Limousin (500 m. from the Dordogne).

This completely renovated detached holiday home for 2-5 people has a completely unobstructed view all around, complete privacy and a private swimming pool.

The holiday home is beautifully and quietly located, has a very large garden and is completely surrounded by greenery, in a hilly valley, surrounded by meadows and a stream of water.

A nice relaxing environment, with a truly beautiful starry sky, with many walking routes, but also plenty of culture around the corner. The Dordogne region is located just 500 meters.

The house dates from the 17th century but has been completely renovated with respect for all features such as the beamed ceiling and walls. There is a large fireplace with wood stove.

The Dutch owner lives in the other house on the property, about 50 meters away (separated by a wall, so plenty of privacy), who will welcome you upon arrival. The nearest neighbors are at 2 km. distance.

In the "backyard" of the house there are many birds of prey, deer and wild boars and there is a beautiful starry sky here. A really great place for nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet!! A dog is welcome; there may be a kennel available.

There is a bakery 5 minutes by car in Pepezac le Blanc; there are 5 large supermarkets in this area. You will find several restaurants and markets in Terrasson and 2 supermachè's in Brive.

You have WiFi internet in the house.

Ground floor:

Spacious living room, leading to the kitchen/diner with gas stove and oven, combination microwave/oven with grill, refrigerator with 2 large freezer drawers, coffee maker, etc. Shower and toilet.

Through the sliding kitchen door with steps you go to the large terrace of 34 m2, with a beautiful view of the rolling surroundings.

On the terrace you will also find garden furniture, parasol and barbecue.

Just past the swimming pool (8x4 meters with Roman steps where it is initially shallow to 1.75 deep), there is a separate room where you can use the internet and get power for your laptop, smartphone or iPad (see the photo).

Upper floor:

1 large bedroom with an AUPING bed with 2 mattresses of 90 x 200 cm, which then provides access to the 2nd bedroom with 3 x single beds of 90 x 200 cm. This room is suitable for children and not so much for adults because there is no private access to this bedroom.

Trips:

In the immediate vicinity is Martel with a nice steam train, you can go to the special high-altitude pilgrimage town of Rocamadour, Collonges-la Rouge for a beautiful day trip, canoeing and swimming in the Dordogne river, to the cozy and famous town of Montignac

Visit the famous caves of Lascaux, Sarlat with its market and medieval architectural highlights

The high-altitude tourist Domme with beautiful distant views of the surroundings and cozy shops and terraces

Les Eyzies with the many caves and Le Bugue with the large and special aquarium, the Monkey Forest,

Pompadour Castle, Uzerche, Terrasson with beautiful fountains and gardens and so much more.

Miscellaneous restaurants in Ayen at 10 km or Perpezac Le Blanc at 5 km.

You can fish here in the L'Elle opposite the house (130 meters) and also further away. Nicely sheltered, easily accessible and in the forest and more importantly: there are also beautiful Brook Trout there.
